Refuge and Bodhicitta

Saturday May 5th  10am – 12pm

There is no charge, however dana is appropriate for the teaching.               

Instructions on the first two special foundations of ngondro practice. Both for people who have started the practices and wish to clarify their understanding and for people who need the instructions to start. 

"Taking refuge is the first of the four unique foundation practices, also called the 'inner' ngondro. The inner ngondro provides means and methods for recognising - or at least glimpsing - our Buddhahood. We are cleansing the mud off the diamond." Quote by Mingyur Rinpoche.       

Vajrasattva

Saturday May 5th 1pm - 2pm

"At this moment we are as pure as we will ever be, but we do not accept this, so we must purify the mind's confusion until we recognize our original purity. This is why we practice, and in order to accomplish our way, we supplicate Vajrasattva, a Buddha who specializes in removing obscurations." Quote from Mingyur Rinpoche.

Deepening the Dharma through practice

How does one extract the essential points? What are the essential points? We will look at Drupon Rinpoche and other teachers advice on how to implement this instruction.

Developing Confidence in our Buddha Nature

Wednesday May 9th @ 7pm

Some topics we will look at:
What causes us not to have confidence in our Pure nature?
How to nurture self confidence in our Buddha nature.

Thurs morning meditation with Alan & Pauline

Thursday morning May 10th @ 11am

Alan will join Pauline and share some personal stories about Akong Rinpoche and do a guided meditation from Akong Rinpoches "Taming the Tiger".                                         

Refreshing Our Motivation

Thursday evening May 10th @7pm

Guided meditations and contemplations.

Take some time out of your busy life to meditate and renew your commitment to practice. It is very beneficial to meditate in a group as it strengthens the feeling of community and generates a huge amount of positive merit.

Time will also be set aside for questions.
