For those with some meditation experience
Lead by Andrew Steyn
The Four Contemplations
During the year we will look at four observations fundamental to the Buddhist view. These are known as ‘the four thoughts that turn the mind’ to the Dharma: Precious Human Birth, Impermanence, Karma Cause and Effect, and Defects of Samsara
By reflecting on what they mean and how they relate to our lives, this contemplative practice gives incentive to look more deeply and to somehow practice a spiritual path. It is in this context that we will seek to deepen our understanding of meditation, what it is and how we should proceed with it.
