About Lama Zangpo
Lama Zangpo’s Buddhist journey began in 1996 when he met Lama Yeshe Rinpoche at Kagyu Samye Dzong Johannesburg. His path has taken him from Holy Isle ordination to the remote Thrangu Sekhar Retreat in Nepal, where he studied under Drupon Rinpoche’s guidance.
After returning from Nepal in 2021, he served at Scotland’s Samye Ling before taking on project oversight at Holy Isle. His recent work supporting Buddhist communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo reflects his commitment to spreading Dharma across cultures. Now based at Glasgow Samye, he continues nurturing Buddhist communities whilst sharing these timeless teachings.
