Joanna Macy’s ground-breaking theoretical framework for personal and social change, as well as her powerful methodology for its application, address the psychological and spiritual issues of the modern age, including the cultivation of ecological awareness, and the fruitful resonance between Buddhist thought and contemporary science. Practices drawing from systems science, deep ecology and Buddhism can awaken in us the interconnectedness - of inter-being. Practising like this, we will explore the ways the Dharma can awaken us to peace, the creation of community with others, and an engaged care for the Earth.

Charges & dana offering: R200 for Centre Members & R260 for Non-Members + Dana (offering) to the teacher allows participants an opportunity to practice generosity and the teacher an opportunity to practice unconditional gratitude. 

An explanation on charges for this weekend retreat: 50% goes to a Green Fund, supporting the greening of the Centre (rain water tanks/LED lighting / worm farm etc) the balance contributes to the running of the centre and covers the costs related to the weekend teaching.
