Facing the Change: A Day of Reflection on Impermanence and Peaceful Dying

  • Kagyu Samye Dzong Cape Town 6 Morgenrood Road Cape Town, WC, 7708 South Africa (map)

“The universe and everything that lives therein is impermanent, particularly the lives of

beings, which are like water bubbles.” (Second foundation)

"The number one thing is that your death should not become a problem for others."

~ Kentin Tai Situpa

Instead of avoiding the topic, let's prepare to approach death with greater confidence.

Join our annual Death and Dying Open Day for a morning of profound Buddhist

contemplation, hosted by the Bardo Group. We will explore the essential teaching of

impermanence through guided reflections, gentle meditation, and powerful small-group

discussions. Drawing inspiration from the accessible teachings of masters like Mingyur

Rinpoche, we can practice to transform our fears into readiness for when our time comes.

Date: 15 November 2025

Time: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM (Optional Lunch & afternoon Amithaba Puja to follow)

Where: KSDCT, 6 Morgenrood Rd

All welcome. Free entry. No booking. Donations appreciated. Lunch pop-up restaurant.

Don’t wait until it’s too late to think about the end!
